2022 MSU Innovation Fellow

I am pleased to announce that I have earned a 2022 Michigan State University Innovation Fellowship. This opportunity will help push forward the solutions proposed by my research partners and me in a recent Detroit Free Press OpEd. My time as a Fellow will focus on the work-work needed to address systemic failure in the Detroit home mortgage market. The goal is to make home-ownership accessible and attainable for median-income residents who, by the data, are locked out for several disturbing reasons. Read more about the research here. It is an honor to follow in the footsteps of Angela Barbash, CSRIC, Sam Butler and Christopher Miller as a Fellow. Thanks to US Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Hector Hernandez, Alexandra Makohn, Trina Shanks, and Patrick Meehan for your critical contributions to this work- wouldn’t be here without you!
